The Public Sector Management Standing Track (PSM) aims to facilitate an internationally focused platform for discussing historical, current, and emerging themes of governance and management within the public sector. The aim is to enable and support the development of a Nordic community of scholars interested in public sector research and to facilitate creative, constructive, and clarifying discussions within as well as outside of academia.

Empirically, we seek to embrace both public administration and public service-producing organizations. Our key interests include public organizing, public values, strategic management, design and use of management control systems, public accounting, auditing, accountability, and public leadership.

Given the above interests, we are interested in expanding current empirical and theoretical understandings concerning such topics as the use of digital technologies and digitalization of the public sector, how public sector organizations respond to complex social and environmental challenges, and how collaborative networks of private, public, and non-profit organizations coproduce public services.
The PSM Standing Track enables scholars from across the Nordic countries to share their expertise and collaborate on research projects that contribute to advancing the field of public management.
