Celebrating 75 Years of the NFF
NFF Nordic Academy of Management is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. NFF was established in 1950 in Stockholm at the 1st conference by the founders Professor Gerhard Törnqvist and Professor Folke Kristensson. About 30 colleagues from Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark participated in this landmark event. The first conference marked the beginning of ongoing collaboration and knowledge sharing among management scholars in the Nordic region. In 2009, Professor Erik Johnsen summarized the community’s history and key events in one document (text available in Danish), helping us remember our past. Today, NFF remains a group of academics focused on learning and sharing insights in management theory and practice.
Join us celebrating the 75th anniversary of the NFF! To honor this milestone, our institutional members can apply for 1,500 € grants for events organized in 2025 that promote Nordic research and education in management. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Additionally, the next NFF conference will be held in Aarhus, Denmark, in August 2026, featuring opportunities for arranging tracks and symposia. In connection with the conference, junior scholars have the opportunity to network and share ideas at the PhD workshop and Early Career Workshop. More details will be shared soon, so stay tuned !
