Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics (JSBE) supports its doctoral students throughout their research process, for example, by
- giving doctoral students guidance and supervision
- organizing expert lectures as well as courses in research methods and academic writing
At the JSBE it is possible to complete a doctoral degree in five major disciplines: accounting, management and leadership, marketing, and strategy and entrepreneurship (business studies), and economics.

JSBE doctoral school is lead by vice dean Kari Heimonen.
At the JSBE there are two doctoral programmes:
- the JSBE doctoral programme in business is lead by dean Hanna-Leena Pesonen and
- the JSBE doctoral programme in economics is lead by vice dean Kari Heimonen.
Doctoral studies at the JSBE are coordinated by senior researcher Mika Haapanen, mika.p.haapanen(at)jyu.fi.
Around ten to fifteen doctoral degrees and 150 Master’s degrees were completed annually at the JSBE. Currently there are around 150 active doctoral students at the JSBE.
